Evangeline Ministries

Evangeline Ministries provides sewing courses and other courses which include the use of a computer and basic English to unskilled women in the Masiphumelele Township.  The women live in Masiphumele and Ocean View. Some come from farther afield including Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay.   At their graduation, they model the outfits they have made during the course.  Each graduate is presented with a sewing machine that, together with their other skills, help them to increase their income and take care of their extended families. Thereby she can either start her own sewing business or she may sew items to sell at the Masicorp Craft Centre shop. Evangeline Ministries enroll 48 students annually.
